India Vs England : Champians Trophy Final + One Day International Records England vs India +India vs England games

Heading into the Sunday's final, Mahi's Team India have thrashed all their opponents with disdain to record their four-match winning streak in the tournament. On the other hand, Alastair Cook, leading England in a major ICC tournament for the first time, will be eager to continue the good run and become the first skipper from his country to lift an ICC trophy in a 50-over competition.

India, the current world champions and top-ranked ODI side, also came close to winning the title twice – in Kenya (2000) and Sri Lanka (2002). England have won only one premier ICC tournament till date – the WT20 title. They have never won a major ICC 50-over competition.

India's average of 65.46 runs per wicket is by far the best of all teams in the tournament, while England's 35 is comfortably the second-best; ditto with the run rates of 5.93 (India) and 5.65 (England). As a bowling unit, India have taken the most wickets in the tournament - 37 - followed by England's 30.

The bowling comparison
As a bowling unit, there isn't much to choose between the two sides.India's bowlers have taken more wickets at a better average and economy rate, thanks largely to their spinners. Led by Jadeja, India's spin attack has taken 16 wickets at an average of 20.75 and an economy rate of 4.15. England's star in the bowling department has been James Anderson. He has taken twice as many wickets as the next-best for England

Many matches in this tournament have been affected by rain with the match between South Africa and West indies proving to be a crucial one as the match ended in a tie under D/L method. So Pray for no rain and good cricket. :) All the best India... Chak De
