One season that everyone love whether he is child, young or old age uncle and aunty is rain. People love the rainy season, it is most loved season for travelers. For Nature lovers or photographer it is a boon, when first drop of rain falls gives the indication to pack your bags and start a new journey. Here are list of Rainy season Tourist Places in India. I'll start with most preferred location
Along with my three friends I started the journey to the heaven from Manali. It becomes a little hectic as you travel across high & not so high altitudes within a few hours.. it becomes a strain physically... would recommend a day's break at each point and soak in the local beauty & culture...also take it a little easy when it comes to drinking and eating because of the high altitude.
After stopping at the Indus-Zanskar confluence, we headed to Basgo Fort. We will then visit the Alchi and Likir Monasteries before tucking in for the night at Uley tokpo (A resort set in an orchard on a steep cliff above the Indus River). Tough it was very tiring but we started loving this. We then head back towards Leh.. We will also take you to Jungwa Shrungskyob – a waste-to-craft shop run by PAGIR.

Our hotel was few km away from the market but the location was awesome.the name of our hotel was Nalanda Ladakh.the rooms were large with nice furnishings

A dream destination of many and the Mecca of adventure enthusiasts. There are also many longer trekking trails to choose from, such as the ones from Likir to Temisgam, and Markha Valley from Spituk. Mountain climbing trips can be booked to peaks such as Stok , Goleb , Kangyatse and Matho West in the Zanskar Mountains.

Leh is a backpacker's haven with numerous trekking trails, valleys, and picturesque lakes. Renowned as the land of monks and monasteries there is lots to see in this amazing piece of land. White Water Rafting and Trekking in Ladakh. Leh has a number of Trekking Routes with the Markha Valley Trek over Gongmaru La and Gandha La being the most adventurous.
When to Visit Leh:
The best time to visit Leh is between May and September, when the weather is the warmest. Ladakh doesn't experience rain like elsewhere in India, so the monsoon season is the perfect time to travel to Leh. The Ladakh Festival is held during the first two weeks of September. It opens in Leh with a spectacular procession through the streets. Villagers dressed in traditional costumes dance and sing folk songs, backed by an orchestra. The festival also features musical concerts, dances performed by masked lamas from selected monasteries, and mock traditional marriage ceremonies. The two day Hemis Festival takes place in June/July at the Hemis Gompa to commemorate birth of Guru Padmasambhava, who founded Tantric Buddhism in Tibet. There's traditional music, colorful masked dances, and a fair full of beautiful handicrafts. The road from Manali is open from the month of June to mid October. For almost half of its length, it is over 13,000 feet. Many visitors stretch the first day's journey up to Sarchu which is another tented accommodation and 120 kms further from Darcha. It depends on how many days you have at your disposal.

Most Important: Inner Line Permit is an official travel document issued by the government of India to allow inward travel of an Indian citizen into a protected/restricted area for a limited period.The document is an effort by the government to regulate movement to certain areas located near the international border of India. This is a security measure and it is applicable for certain parts of Leh.
